Connecting the Business Community
The Harford County Chamber of Commerce offers ample opportunities for network development by hosting a multitude of events throughout the year. These events are customized for the business community to foster an environment that encourages professional and collaborative growth.
For members seeking active network development participation, we recognize that our business members have individual needs and structure our events to help provide choices to suit different business’s needs. This is why we host events at various time of day – morning, lunch and evening hours.
These events also vary in format and scale. One of the best ways to break the ice in to network development with the Chamber, is at a Mix and Mingle. This lively morning business card exchange is held in the Chamber’s Board Room from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. on the third Wednesday of every month. Participants are able to enjoy coffee and one-on-one conversation with fellow Chamber members, followed by an opportunity for each participant to introduce themselves and their business to the group. This is a great way to meet a lot of people quickly and enhance your network.
The Chamber also hosts breakfasts and luncheons tailored to keep businesses “in-the-know” with what is going on in and around our county. This includes events such as our State of the County Luncheon, a luncheon held in January, focused on the County Executive’s plans for the year ahead; Economic Forecast, an event focused on the economic outlook of the Harford County; and Legislative Wrap-up, an event proceeding the legislative session each year, featuring a panel of Harford County Delegates.
Other events hosted by the Harford County Chamber include informative luncheons and/or seminars, Annual Dinner, Military Appreciation Luncheon, the Harford Award Banquet, and the Jingle Mingle holiday party… just to name a few! Be sure to check out our Calendar of Events page to see what is coming up and to register to attend.
We also offer access to two major community leads groups, the Harford Business Network and Business Resource Network. The leads groups are business referral networking groups where there is only one member per professional category. Members meet weekly to exchange business leads. Learn more about our associated leads groups.
Another way to actively participate with the Chamber is to join a committee and get involved with other members. Committees are a great way to connect with other members over a common goal and interest, while bettering the Harford County Chamber for all members. As a membership organization, committees are a great way for members to help the Chamber improve, grow, and operate. These committees include:
- Events and Special Projects
- Military Affairs
- Membership Development
- Young Professionals
